What Sets the 2025 Ramcharger Apart from the Rest?
The 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger will be the first plug-in-hybrid full-size pickup truck. As many brands have begun to shift to electric alternatives, the Ramcharger’s gasoline engine is only used to make electricity rather than focusing its energy on the wheels.
When it comes to our RAM trucks, we tend to let the numbers do most of the talking. The 2025 Ramcharger has a combined 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque with the help of its front and rear electric motors, going from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
But what makes this new plug-in hybrid pickup the best in its class? With a full battery and a topped-off 27-gallon gas tank, the Ramcharger can travel up to 690 miles without a pit stop. This range has never been seen before in the world of electric pickup trucks and is set to be a game-changer upon its release.
What are Some Key Features of the New RAM For Sale?
The Key to Capability is Power
Some hybrid-electric trucks choose to sacrifice the key elements that make a truck a truck for the sake of progress, but the Ramcharger isn’t one of them.
With a maximum payload of 2,625 pounds and 14,000-pound max towing capacity, the Ramcharger is quite literally charging into heavy-duty territory. Its power is not limited to talks of towing capacity–it also boasts a serious amount of onboard energy capacity.
The 2025 Ramcharger offers 7.2 kWh on-board power output which, for the sake of comparison, is more than triple the 2.0 kW Ford offers on its F-150s.
It’s What’s on the Inside That Counts
The Ramcharger boasts many “firsts” for the RAM brand, including some specialty tech upgrades on the inside.
Some key highlights inside the 2025 Ramcharger’s cabin include:
- One Pedal Driving mode: A regenerative braking system that captures the kinetic energy to recharge the battery
- EV indications: Access battery and energy levels, charging locations and flows in the form of full-color 3D graphics
- Hands-Free active driving assist: This system allows you to relax with your hands away from the wheel, keeping your RAM at a set speed and safe distance from the vehicle ahead of you via sensors
- 14.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen: This massive touchscreen allows you to choose your music, view cameras, select drive modes, and more–all with just a touch.
- Class-exclusive 10.25-inch passenger interactive display: Allows your copilot to stream movies and listen to music all from their side of the vehicle
How Much Will the 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger Cost?
